〔記者張菁雅／台中報導〕台中市政府訂出「8年1萬戶」社會住宅目標，前4年興辦5000戶已達標，今年進入大量興建期，包括北屯區北屯段、同榮段、東區尚武段等7處社會住宅將自6月至10月陸續動工。至於未來4年社會住宅尚需土地6.52公頃土地，市長林佳龍今天在市政會議指示都發局可加強與國營事業、工業區、大學等機關合作開發，善用舊宿舍及各種房舍。
都發局長王俊傑在市政會議專案報告台中市社會住宅政策，他表示，透過自建、容積獎勵、都計回饋、都更分回、促參等方式，將興辦19處合計5587戶社會住宅，前4年目標已經達標，其中，北屯區北屯段、同榮段、東區尚武段、東勢子段、梧棲區三民段、北屯區東山段、太平區育賢段二期將自6月至10月陸續動工，均預定2021年完工。
王俊傑也說，台中市社宅以「共好」理念整合跨局處及在地資源，提供住戶完善的共好生活空間，各社宅有其共好定位，並依據定位引進相關設施，如老人長青、共食餐廳、托嬰中心、設計育成中心、青創店鋪等。另外，未來4年將興辦4413戶社會住宅，需要6.52公頃土地、123億9000萬元興建成本。
林佳龍表示，除了興建社會住宅，包租代管、租金補貼等方式，都可納入社會住宅，也藉此促進民間租屋市場的活絡；另外，精密機械科技創新園區的勞工住宅，因容積獎勵而回饋190戶社宅，未來市府可與工業區、大學合作共同開發，藉此得到社宅；而國營事業擁有許多土地，有些政府舊宿舍或各種房舍的地點不錯，也可列為合作對象，一方面服務該機關員工，另一方面也滿足社會需要。
